How To get Eligibility Letter For Admission In Malaysia (Update)
This is an update on this very topic because I have earlier written a detailed article on how to get an eligibility letter in Nigeria and this goes for those who are seeking admission in Malaysian schools because they ask for eligibility letter as one of the prerequisites for visa processing. The step by step on how to get an eligibility letter in Nigeria is here.
Before now, all you need to process eligibility letter from the ministry of education in Abuja is your O'level result (WAEC/GCE/ NECO), provided you are seeking admission for a degree program and Degree certificate if you are seeking admission for a Masters program.
However, the change in the procedure which is the reason why I am writing this is the inclusion of secondary school testimonial (This is usually given by your secondary school at the completion of your secondary education).
When you are coming for application for eligibility letter, you now have to attach your testimonial together with your O'level result to get your request approved. You should also be informed that you have to attest your result first before the issue of eligibility letter can even come up at all. I have a step by step process on how to get that done at the ministry of education and you can read it here.
A very important point to note is that, eligibility letter isn't something you will just come around, apply, pay and collect. It takes time before it is issued, it may take a week or two before it comes out. If I were you, I will start the application earlier so that it doesn't affect my appointment at the embassy where it is to be presented.
All these things are what you can do yourself and that is why I have explained it here. However, if you don't want to go through the stress or you are far away from Abuja, our service is made available for you in securing the eligibility letter with the inclusion of attesting your documents/results at the ministry of education and foreign affairs.
If your purpose of getting an eligibility letter is to process admission for a Masters program, ensure you provide your secondary school testimonial, O'level certificate, Degree certificate and your transcripts. All documents should be originals.
NOTE: You must have at least 5 credits (in not more than two sittings) in your O'level including English Language and Mathematics. Don't make a mistake of going to the ministry of education with a statement of result issued by your secondary school without the original certificate issued by WAEC/NECO/NABTEB, nobody will listen to you.
