Currently, for anyone to travel with a month or three (3) months visa to Dubai, Abu Dhabi or any part of the UAE, you will have to visit the UAE embassy closer to you before the process can be fully completed.
How To Get Your Tourist Visa At The UAE Embassy, Abuja.
Following a change in the procedure of visa issuance at the UAE, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MOFAIC) has introduced what is called "Exporting the Border".
This process allows applicants to finish the visa process from their home country as against travelling with the old electronic visa. As a result of this new development, the UAE government has introduced visa centers across the globe to handle the process and fully attend to applicants.
For the purpose of applicants in Nigeria, you will need to take your electronic visa which has been sent to you by your agent to the UAE Abuja for confirmation, biometrics and visa stamping on your international passport.
UAE Visa center in Nigeria is located at the address written below:
Tsukunda Plaza,
2nd Floor,
Constitution Avenue,
Central Business District (beside CHURCHGATE)
Abuja – Nigeria.
Phone : +234-81 84477777 / +234-81 73377777
Email: consabuja@mofaic.gov.ae
Opening hours from Monday to Friday 9 am – 3:30 pm
Now read this very carefully, I know that over 95% of UAE Visa applicants are from outside Abuja. It will not be cost effective to just get to Abuja before knowing what to do as this may cost you days and every passing day goes with money on hotels accommodation, transport and feeding. A lot of people who didn’t have enough information regarding the procedure of getting the UAE visa in Abuja spent days/weeks before getting it done.
Before you embark on your journey to Abuja for your UAE Visa to be stamped on your international passport, ensure you make an appointment booking.
Initially, appointment booking at the UAE Embassy was done in person with embassy giving you date to come for biometrics but as at the time of this writing, appointment at the UAE embassy in Abuja is done via WhatsApp.

Once your appointment for biometrics is given, ensure you arrive Abuja a day before and be at the UAE embassy first thing in the morning. I’ll say you should be there by 6am because the crowd is always massive and the earlier you come the better your chances of being quickly attended to.
Things to bring along are:
- Your international passport which should be valid for 6 months or more from the date you intend to travel
- Copy of the invitation or visa application sent to you by your agent
- Biometric data payment which is as of the time of writing this article NGN30,000
- Ensure you go with your card for payment at the embassy.
If you have MASTERCARD with the following banks, you are good to go with your visa fee payment right in the embassy.
- Ecobank
- Sterling Bank
- First Bank
- UBA
- Fidelity Bank
- Zenith Bank
If you have VISA CARD with the following banks, you are also good to go with the visa fee payment.
- Access Bank
- UBA
- Fidelity Bank
Note: For now, the above listed banks are the ones going through. If you go there and your card fails to go through, you might be asked to make deposit to their bank which means you can’t get your biometrics done that day again and in some cases, you might have to go and book another appointment.
Once you are done with biometrics, you will drop your international passport and your visa would be out within 48hrs-72hrs.
If you found this helpful, kindly like and share it. If you have any problem getting things done at the embassy, kindly contact us on 08064691685 or whatsapp on 08185933265.
Good Luck!
