HOW TO GET AKWA IBOM STATE OF ORIGIN CERTIFICATE IN LAGOS

  • Nov 27, 2017
  • Until lately, I have never thought of writing about this but after a client called me to get this thing done for her daughter who was in serious need of Akwa Ibom state of origin certificate in school for her registration, I had to put this together for the benefit of others who may equally have a need for obtaining state of origin certificate at the Akwa Ibom State Liaison office in Lagos.

Before I break the process of obtaining Akwa Ibom state of origin certificate in Lagos down, I will have to specifically emphasize that this article only works for residents of Lagos who are from Akwa Ibom and in need of this. As for Akwa Ibom indigent residing in other states, all you need to do is check if there is any Akwa Ibom state liaison office in the state.

The Akwa Ibom State Government Liaison office in Lagos is an office that handles everything that has to do with the indigents of Akwa Ibom who are resident in Lagos or who are in need of any official declaration which attach them to Akwa Ibom.

Mostly, students who are in school need it to finish up their registration process. It is meant to officially state where they come from. It can also be required by different government and non governmental agencies during registration of any sort. For example, before anyone can obtain an international passport in Nigeria, he or she has to provide a copy of certificate of origin alongside other documents before the process can be completed.

So, if you are from Akwa Ibom state, living in Lagos or needs to get something done in Lagos and you need to obtain a certificate of origin for any purpose, just follow the process listed below to get it done.

Go to Akwa Ibom State Government Liaison office which is located at 14, Ajose Adeogun Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.

How To Get To Akwa Ibom State Government Liaison Office In Lagos
From anywhere in Lagos, get a bus to Obalende and from there; join a keke Napep going to Eko Hotel. Once you alight at the last bus stop, just take a two minutes walk to the front after the round-about or ask anyone for the Akwa Ibom State Government Liaison Office. It is just by the road side and about 2 blocks from a Zenith bank. To make the whole thing very simple, just ask anyone once you alight from the Keke at the last bus stop so you don’t start walking in the opposite direction.
Things Needed for getting Akwa Ibom State Of Origin Certificate in Lagos.

Before you ever leave for the Akwa Ibom State Government Liaison office in Victoria Island at all, ensure you get the necessary documents along with you so you don’t have to go for your state of origin certificate twice.

    Things Needed are:
Result (This can be your O’level/ND/HND/Bsc/Cambridge) just ensure you go with any copy of your result.
Birth Certificate – this is also very important as you won’t be allowed to get it without providing a copy of your birth certificate. Both are to be photocopied because they will keep it in a file that would be opened for you.
    Two recent passport photographs

In addition, you should ensure you know your Town/Village name because it would be filled in a form which would be given to you and if you fill it wrongly, it would be difficult to trace it on their list of towns/villages in the state.

Once all these are provided, you would be asked to make an appropriate payment into the Akwa Ibom State Revenue Services at the Zenith bank about 2-3 blocks away from their office.
When you are done, you will take the payment teller back to Akwa Ibom State Government Liaison office and they will finish up the process from there. It is something you can start and finish in a day. Once you are through with the submission, you would be asked to wait at their reception and you would be called upon the moment they finish up with it.

Why You Need To Attest Your Documents Before Travelling To The UAE

  • Oct 6, 2017
  • The issue of document attestation may be new to so many Nigerians living/working abroad but certainly not Nigerians professionals in the UAE. Securing a skilled labour job in the UAE requires proper attestation of your educational certificates especially if you are to work in Abu-Dhabi. Searching or finding job does not require attestation of documents but the moment you become a successful applicant, proper attestation of your results becomes a necessity. Attestation is a legal authentication to prove that your certificates or documents your are presenting are genuinely obtained by you.

As a Nigerian seeking to live and work in the UAE, ensure you follow the due process in attesting your certificates before leaving for the UAE. Before now, it was possible for you to attest all your documents through the Nigerian embassy in the UAE but currently, all documents coming from Nigeria are expected to be authenticated by the necessary ministries and the UAE embassy in Nigeria before coming into the UAE. If you go to the UAE without attesting your documents, you will have to send them back to Nigeria for attestation.

It is very true that a lot of people are working in Dubai, Abu-Dhabi and some other places in the UAE without any certificate attestation but that is because most of them are not employed as skilled employees. Of course, you can't compare the salary package of a skilled labour to an unskilled labour. Even if you are just an O'level certificate holder, my advice is that you get your certificate attested before leaving home in other to fetch yourself a better deal in terms of employment.

Documents you can attest are but not limited to the following:
    • Ordinary level/SSCE: WAEC/NECO/GCE
    • Degree Certificate/ Bsc Certificate
    • National Diploma (ND)
    • Higher National Diploma (HND)
    • MSc
    • Transcripts
    • Reference Letter
    • Marriage Certificate
    • Birth Certificate
    • Court Affidavit
    • Police Character Certificate
    • Professional License
The process of attesting your certificates for use in the UAE starts and ends in Abuja. Your documents will go through the federal ministry of education, the ministry of foreign affairs and the UAE embassy, all in Abuja, to have a complete certificate attestation. A well explanatory article about document attestation for UAE is here, help yourself with all necessary information in other to save excess cost.

Certificate attestation in Abuja for the UAE should not take more than 3days and in a worse case scenario, a week. If you want to use our service in attesting your documents for use in UAE or any country, kindly contact Ty-Mike on 08064691685 or send a mail to mikkytee@gmail.com.

How To Attest Your Documents At Qatar Embassy In Nigeria

  • Sep 23, 2017
  • Attestation means, legalization or authentication of document(s) which may either be educational or non-educational documents. Document or certificate attestation is usually required when you are in pursuance of employment or studies in another country. It is purposely requested to ascertain the authenticity of the documents/certificates you have claimed to your credit.

Securing a skilled job in Qatar as a non-citizen, (I don't know if it applies to other nationalities apart from Nigerians though) you will have to provide attested educational certificates. To get this done, your documents need to go through 3 stages listed below:
    • The Federal Ministry of Education, Abuja
    • The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja

Samples Of Attested Documents At The Ministry Of Education, Foreign Affairs And UAE Embassy, Nigeria.

  • Mar 7, 2017
  • Many people are just hearing the word attestation while some who have heard it do not really know how exactly it is done or what it is used for. If you want to know what attestation means, take a minute to read a detailed article written on it here.

I am putting up few of the past attestation completed for clients within and outside the country recently as a way to keep those who might be in need of it informed. Many people suffered from wrong people who presented themselves as agents but eventually did fake attestation for them. Many of these fake jobs were returned only after the clients had reached United Arab Emirates where they wanted to make use of these attested certificates...so painful right?

  • Jun 25, 2016
  • This is an update on this very topic because I have earlier written a detailed article on how to get an eligibility letter in Nigeria and this goes for those who are seeking admission in Malaysian schools because they ask for eligibility letter as one of the prerequisites for visa processing. The step by step on how to get an eligibility letter in Nigeria is here.

Before now, all you need to process eligibility letter from the ministry of education in Abuja is your O'level result (WAEC/GCE/ NECO), provided you are seeking admission for a degree program and Degree certificate if you are seeking admission for a Masters program.

However, the change in the procedure which is the reason why I am writing this is the inclusion of secondary school testimonial (This is usually given by your secondary school at the completion of your secondary education).

How To Get A Reference Letter In Nigeria For Teaching Job In Dubai

  • Jun 20, 2016
  • Getting a reference letter for teaching job in Dubai or UAE is an article written purposely for Nigerians who are interested in schooling or seeking a teaching job in the United Arab Emirates.

Before you ever leave for Dubai at all, make sure all your educational certificates are attested at the ministry of education and foreign affairs in Abuja before finally proceeding to the UAE Embassy in Abuja for their stamp on the attested certificates.
To learn more about this, kindly read a detailed article on how to attest your certificates in Nigeria.

The current thing about the pre-requisite for being employed as a teacher in Dubai or UAE right now is you having all your educational certificates and in some cases, your transcripts together with a reference letter from the school where you have worked as a teacher previously attested by the ministry of education, foreign affairs and UAE embassy in Nigeria.

For those who have earlier attested their certificates but have never heard of the reference letter, act fast now by getting a reference letter from your former employer and submit it at the ministry of foreign affairs in Abuja for their seal and signature. Once that is done, take it to the UAE embassy in Abuja and submit it for stamping and signature.
An example of a reference letter from the ones we did for clients recently is attached below for a clearer understanding.

One thing about this reference letter is that, it is important for an individual seeking an employment in a teaching line as well as student who wants to continue his/her education in Dubai or UAE.

So, if you are a Nigerian and you equally wish to further your education in Dubai or UAE, be informed that you will need a reference letter from your former school which should be fully attested to finalize your admission process.

To get this done, you can visit the ministry of education, ministry of foreign affairs and UAE embassy in Abuja. If you have done your own, don't hesitate to share your expereince with others on this platform by commenting on this.

If you also need a help attesting your certificates or reference letter, you can contact me for my service on this line 08064691685 or leave a message in the comment box. I will surely get back to you.

How To Get A Police Character Certificate In Nigeria

  • Feb 16, 2016
  • I am writing on this topic because a lot of people have a big problem knowing how to go about this especially those outside Lagos and people living abroad.

Ideally, police character certificate is usually requested abroad for job, marriage, residency purposes or more. It is a way to have it on record that you do not have any black record back home. For some people who are currently working in Dubai or any other part of UAE, they will pretty much understand what a police character certificate means. From experience, I also know that police

I decided to notify you of some changes in their mode of operation so that you don't travel all the way to Abuja without achieving your objective. In my first article written on HOW TO ATTESTATE YOUR DOCUMENTS IN NIGERIA, I explained all you will need to get your (Results/Marriage Certificates/Trade Test) done.       NOTE: If the document you want to attest does not include result; let's say it's just your marriage certificate, then you don't have any business with Ministry of Education, you will just go directly to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. If result is included in the document you want to attest, then you will first pass through Ministry of Education before going to the Ministry of Foreign
